About D-Ziner Shutters, Blinds and More
Being born into a family of artisans, both my grandmothers: 1 a seamstress & the other a water color artist, my mother a seamstress, my father an architect, and illy uncle a famous stained glass artist it was only fitting that I at age 7 began designing & sewing my own clothing.
In High School I found my talent as an artist. I somehow knew the 2 gifts were a in a tell for my future.
The perfect Interior Decorating Company began evolving over the next 20+ years. I married in 1984 and we started our first business in Orange County Ca in 1985 with my brother-n-law specializing in Mobil Window Washing & Screening to residential & commercial clients, shortly there after we realized that our clients were asking for more, we then added Custom window blinds & shades to complete that business. As our children came along we decided that there had to be a better place to raise them. So we sold our business in 1992 and headed to Dallas Texas in 1993 where we opened our new business of Interior Decorating. We offered a variety of services to include: Interior Decorating & Consulting, Custom Draperies, Bedding, Accessories. Plantation Shutters. Blinds & Shades. Again. our clients wanted more…
In 1996 we added decorative paint and texture finishes for walls. furniture & cabinets to complete our full service Interior Decorating business.
As the children grew and headed off to college we decided to sell our business in 2004 and move back to So. Cal to be near extended family again. It was only natural that we started our own business again. That’s when D-Ziner Elements was horn and has morphed into A Faux Fetish. Although we still offer full interior decorating services from consultation & design to shutters, blinds & installation our specialty & passion is Faux Finishing.
